Candidate is expected to own larger aspects of the system and be flexible with tasking as the program evolves. Program support and technical leadership over requirements definition, concept generation, material selection, trade studies, design sensitivity/optimization studies, preliminary and final design, design documentation, and assembly/integration and testing may be required. Candidate must have experience in 3D modeling, critical HW design and development and the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplined team environment. Candidate must be willing to work within a lab environment and be hands-on with hardware.Essential Functions:Work with limited supervision in a variety of high consequence program activitiesPotential to present to internal and external stakeholders, including customer representativesGeneration of Technical Data Package components (Part and Assembly drawings, etc.).Prototype, Integrate, and Test component parts and assemblies.Develop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems.Perform test and evaluation of component parts and systems.Participate in peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews.Participate in product change review meetings and discussions and implement changes.Participate in interdisciplinary design teams and reviews.Adhere to company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc.Direct Designers/ Technicians as part of a design team.Support field testing/demonstration efforts as an ME field representative.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
