Job Description

As a dynamic leader, the Director will support all hotel staff, ensuring policies and service standards are upheld, colleague engagement is high, and financial objectives are achieved. You will oversee the Talent & Culture department, ensuring legal and labor compliance, and driving the implementation of our mission and talent strategy. With a focus on leadership, you'll guide the team to success while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Talent & Culture department, partnering with senior leadership to execute HR strategies
  • Foster a culture of open communication, trust, respect, and fun among colleagues
  • Act as a key member of the Executive Committee, with a focus on coaching, support, and colleague relations
  • Provide strategic HR support to the Executive Committee, aligning policies and procedures with the company’s mission and values
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop action plans addressing colleague feedback
  • Oversee HR programs, including compensation, benefits, performance management, and training
  • Manage recruitment, ensuring policies are followed and best practices are applied
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Challenge conventional processes to enhance the guest and colleague experience
  • Handle employee discipline, terminations, and labor relations matters, including union negotiations
  • Plan and support colleague events and ensure adherence to company policy and local laws


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years in HR leadership in hospitality
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) is essential
  • Degree or diploma in HR Management preferred
  • Experience in benefits administration, employee wellness, and safety initiatives
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, from line workers to executives
