VP, Finance – Downtown, SLCJob SummaryOur client, a leading SLC, Utah-based investment firm, has an immediate need for a talented VP, Finance with experience in operations and an entrepreneurial mindset.This finance executive will serve as a critical member of the leadership team, overseeing and performing a wide variety of reporting, accounting, and operational duties within the Finance & Accounting Team. This position will play a critical role in managing the financial reporting process, conducting technical accounting research, participating in the month-end close, process improvement, and the implementation, management and review of internal controls and corporate policies. Highly competitive compensation, benefits and bonus incentives offered to the right candidate.What your success will look like:• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders• Support the month-end close process, ensuring financial data is complete and accurate• Manage full budgeting process, which includes financial modeling and budget to actual reviews• Manage the finance and accounting team, providing leadership and guidance• Financial analysis, budget analysis, forecasting, special projects, and creating ad hoc reports• Improving roadmaps for implementing/ improving processes within the accounting function• Exercise judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis to identify and resolve issues• Effectively communicate information impacting both internal and external customers• Successfully work both autonomously and in a team environment, spanning multiple business groups• Prepare pro-forma and historical financial data as necessary• Maintain banking relationships and partner with other financial counterpartsWhat you would bring to the position:Minimum of 8-10 years of diverse accounting experience with an emphasis in financial reportingBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA/CPA preferred, not requiredExcellent attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritizeProven ability to perform under pressure and adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirementsTrack record for successfully managing accounting and finance teamsProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with additional programs such as: Jet Reports, MS Power BI and MS Power QueryAbility to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and analysesHigh levels of integrity, ethical standards and sound judgementExperience working with executive managementExperience working in operating companies and/ or investment companiesPrincePerelson & Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we do not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
