The HR Manager is responsible developing and administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity.Develops and administers company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.Coordinates recruiting and retention strategies and succession planning process.Coordinates exit interview process and communication of findings to management.Analyzes data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on a variety of human resources issues.Coordinates training programs, personal and career development, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, diversity, and benefit programs.Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.Coordinates employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.Reviews employee relation s issues and recommends appropriate responses to management.Prepares and monitors human resources budget.Negotiates contracts with outside vendors to provide employee services.Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.Negotiate bargaining agreements and help interpret labor contracts.Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriersAdminister compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.Plan, organize, direct, control, or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.Plans and executes employee events.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.RequirementsBachelor s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, seven to ten years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 5 years in Human Resources with at least 1 year executing HR manager tasks.SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certificationWorking knowledge of HR laws and regulations.Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
