Job Description: MGA is looking for an Architect II to join their team. The Architect II will manage in-house duties on smaller projects or specific designs of larger projects independently. They will contribute to the design process and begin taking on leadership roles within projects. MGA considers an Architect II an integral part of the architectural design team. This role requires a solid foundation in architectural practice, design capability, and experience in project involvement.
Requirements:
· A professional degree in architecture from an accredited program.
· Licensed as an Architect.
· At least 6 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
· A solid foundation in architectural practice and design capability.
· Experience being involved in various aspects of projects, including project coordination, documentation, and ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules.
· Excellent presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills are advantageous to this position.
· Ability to contribute to architectural design process, supporting development of concepts and translating ideas into design solutions.
· Technical knowledge in architectural design principles, building codes, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Suite necessary. Experience with Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Lumion a plus but not required.
· Ability to work as a team, contributing to our cohesive and effective work environment.
· People skills are a must in this position, as you will be participating in client meetings, contributing to design discussions, and assisting in maintaining positive client relationships throughout the project phases. You will also be interfacing with contractors and consultants as a representative of MGA.
· Detail-oriented, especially in maintaining project documentation, reports, and presentations. You will be keeping records, and responsible for updating clients and project managers in a timely and efficient manner.
