The Chicago College of Oriental Medicine (CCOM), accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM), seeks a licensed acupuncturist to join our leadership team as Clinic Director. This role involves overseeing clinical operations and coordinating student training to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and high-quality patient care. The Clinic Director reports to the Vice President of Operations and directly supervises the Clinic Supervisors.

Responsibilities

  1. Clinical Training Coordination : Manage scheduling and oversight of clinical observations and internships for students, ensuring these align with CCOM’s curriculum standards.
  2. Leadership and Supervision : Act as part of the leadership team, supervising the Clinic Supervisor to maintain a well-organized clinic environment.
  3. Operational Oversight : Ensure that clinic spaces are properly equipped, safe, and conducive to hands-on student training.
  4. Protocol and Compliance : Ensure that clinic operations adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, CNT, and CPR standards, supporting a compliant environment for students and patients.
  5. Student Assessment and Record-Keeping : Track student progress and maintain accurate records, including hours completed, treatment counts, and evaluation results.
  6. Committee Participation : Represent the clinic on budget, strategic planning, and assessment committees, aligning clinical practices with CCOM’s goals.

Qualifications

  1. Licensed Acupuncturist : Current licensure as an acupuncturist is required.
  2. Educational Background : Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  3. Experience : At least three years of clinical practice, with a preference for those with supervisory experience in a clinical or educational setting.
  4. Skills : Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
