Viera Builders, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of A. Duda & Sons, Inc., has an opening for a Director of Sales located in Viera, Florida (Melbourne area).
This role will have responsibility for all sales activities of Viera Builders, Inc. operations. Also responsible for fostering a positive working environment for sales staff while ensuring sales goals are met with an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation within the entire company. Assists VP of Operations with creation and implementation of marketing initiatives. In addition, the Director of Sales’ duties include:
- Assist the VP of Operations with developing effective strategic community sales business plans.
- Oversee business growth by managing the Sales Simplicity database, nurturing relationships with realtors, lenders and other constituents, and enhancing VBI's reputation by participating in industry associations and social functions. Recommend effective products to match market opportunities and demand. Involvement in professional organizations to communicate values of the building industry to appropriate audiences.
- Develop and train the best sales team by identifying skills and abilities of top performing sales people for the new home industry. Set high performance standards and sales goals. Hold sales staff accountable to meet sales goals. Provide effective coaching, motivation and feedback for the sales team. Help identify and implement effective training programs. Along with the VP of Operations, develop and implement a Sales Training Orientation manual for new employees. Provide direction and guidance to sales team in communicating the goals and objectives of the company.
- Implement a customer satisfaction model that differentiates the VBI sales team and our brand. Implement systems for effective and efficient communications with all internal stakeholders. Solve process and customer satisfaction issues with the assistance of the Operations team.
- Define the target market customers based on product types.
- Track and monitor all MLS listings and sales activity. Continually research, evaluate and track the new home building industry to learn of competitor strategies, product and pricing. Monitor competitor models. Provide ideas for new model development based on current market analysis.
- Manage consistent brand standards for all community sales centers.
- Work with Marketing to create point of sale material. Manage the ordering and delivery of services and products. Ensure signage is up to VBI Home standards. Liaise with Marketingto manage the website and social media.
- Perform any other marketing, sales and/or charitable initiatives as required. Maintain sales schedules and ensure model homes are staffed when area managers are not available. Attend continuing education courses in management, real estate and sales training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline is preferred and a minimum of 10 years of new home sales management experience
- Procore or similar construction management software certification
- Notary Public or Licensed Real Estate Sales Professional preferred
- Strong organizational aptitude, writing/editing acumen, communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to develop and implement processes
- Previous team management required
