Job Description
Role: Agile Coach
Location: Washington, DC Metropolitan Area
Duration: 6 Months Contract (will continually extend)

Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience as an AGILE COACH (Certification is a must)
- Experience as Scrum Master on a variety of different projects (at least 2 years)
- Can create training materials and conduct training on Agile topics
- Has served in a mentoring or coaching role
- Has experience in implementing Agile techniques in different cultures and environments
- Has successfully run Agile projects of varying size and complexity
- Servant Leader, able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
- Must be able to communicate well with teams
- Able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
- Must be able to ensure Agile and Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
- Situationally aware, notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management
- Able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
- Attitude of empowerment, able to lead a team to self-organization
- Able to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust
Nice to have:
- Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
- Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
- Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
