The HPC group at AWS is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team in building high performance computing products and services. The team is focused on developing innovative products to automate complex distributed computing environments, utilizing cutting-edge AWS technologies. This role involves leading engineers to tackle core software engineering problems, working with a variety of AWS cloud technologies, and making a significant impact on external and internal customers through engaging and challenging work.
This position requires at least 3 years of engineering team management experience, 7 years of working directly within engineering teams, 3 years of designing or architecting systems, and 8 years of leading the development of multi-tier web services. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, and experience in partnering with product or program management teams. Preferred qualifications include experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership, as well as recruiting, hiring, and mentoring teams of Software Engineers.
