What we’re seeking:
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide fiber build analysis in support of the Capital Management organization. Beyond traditional financial duties, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implementing and administering appropriate controls, researching and querying data across relevant systems, and connecting data to draw actionable conclusions. The position also includes ad hoc analysis and special projects, offering unique opportunities to shape our purpose of Building Gigabit America.
In this in-person role, you will be required to report to our Dallas, TX, location to complete your work responsibilities.

You need to be a reliable self-starter who is comfortable synthesizing data from many sources including partner organizations and data systems. The right candidate is both accountable to the team and coachable with a desire to learn. To be successful in this role, you will need to be the right combination of data enthusiast, critical thinker, and effective communicator.
What you’ll do:
- Build and/or maintain views of the fiber-to-the-home build funnel through available dashboards and data sets; may require building and automating data feeds.
- Research and support relevant out-of-tolerance projects under review of Capital Management’s Deal Desk.
- Improve visibility of inventory and materials to measure alignment with the fiber build plan.
- Analyze complex financial data to identify areas of risk, inefficiency, and opportunity for various business units and diverse project portfolios across the organization.
- Rationalize company-build strategies as they relate to Brownfield, Greenfield, RDOF, Grants, and any other relevant areas.
- Present and analyze data to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to segment and FP&A leadership for decision-making purposes.
- Assist the Director of Finance to improve company performance by evaluating processes, monitoring indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
- Establish and maintain financial and operational KPIs and executive dashboards.
- Ensure effective understanding, analysis, and reporting of key metrics such as price, costs, materials, labor, volume, and others.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Salary Range: $39,000 - $161,000

What background you should have:
- 5+ years of professional experience with emphasis on financial analysis, heavily focused on financial planning, strategy, business cases, and engagement across organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields.
- Experience working with data mining/reporting tools, such as SQL and Power BI are a plus.
- Experience forecasting revenues, and costs, developing budgets, analyzing pricing structures, identifying variances, and providing root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced organizational and presentation (PowerPoint) skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly and succinctly to a wide range of audiences.
- Must possess strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving capabilities.
- Creative mindset with the ability to convey new ideas to both non-finance and finance audiences.
- Highly self-motivated; a self-starter.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Strategic mindset with the capability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience leveraging complex financial modeling with Excel.
- Experience in the fiber telecommunications sector is a plus.
- Experience with Adaptive Insights as a financial planning tool is a plus.
