The Pyrotek SNIFTM Systems is looking to recruit a Field Engineer who will work remotely and located within European Region and Middle East. As a Field Engineer, you will be part of the SNIF Field Engineering Team which is attached to the Pyrotek SNIF division located in New York, USA.

The Role
Under the guidance of the USA SNIF Field Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Providing mainly onsite Commissioning, Engineering and Installation services and remote technical support for a broad array of projects and clients.
- Training of customer personnel on operation and maintenance,
- Troubleshooting of in-service problems and repair supervision.
- Establishing, expanding, and maintaining good relationships with customers.
- On-site training for client personnel.
You will work in close collaboration with the Engineering and Sales Teams as well as with the various Pyrotek manufacturing plants.
You will support continuous improvement efforts of Engineering and Sales for all aspects of design, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.
This job very often requires travelling to support global customers beside the ones located within Europe and Middle East.
Our Expectations
- Review drawings and system manuals to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Perform and/or lead field activities:
o Installation and Commissioning
o Troubleshooting and Service
o F.A.T visits
o Follow-up / Sales Support visits
- Provide timely and detailed visit reports documenting technical issues, maintenance recommendations and resolutions.
- Develop clear, written guidelines for unit operation and maintenance. Include safety instructions and best practices.
- Conduct job-specific training(s) at field for client personnel
- Participate in research, data collection, field observation, and inspections. Conduct field testing as needed.
- Operate in accordance with all safety regulations and policies.
- Document complaint details for SNIF Quality Management. Classify failure modes. Route to the relevant department for corrective action.
- Organize efforts to minimize cost and maximize results.
- Gain professional and technical knowledge by attending external or internal training as well as being self-driven to be a lifelong learner.
- Cooperate and comply fully with all Pyrotek policies and procedures. Actively support and follow the Pyrotek Safety Program.
Skills, Abilities, and Qualities
- Ability to travel by land and air up to 60% both domestically and globally.
o Must have active driving license and passport for international travel or eligibility to obtain.
o Ability to work extended hours based on the needs of the business.
- Must have at least three language capabilities including English, written and oral are required.
- Experience with MS SharePoint, sales enablement software (CRM / Power-BI/ etc).
- Excellent computer, organizational and communication/presentation skills
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficient in industrial automation software platforms, including; Ladder Logic, Factory Talk, Studio 5000, TIA Portal,
- Demonstrable ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Strongly focused on problem solving.
- Being an excellent communicator and technically strong.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics / Pneumatics, and piping.
- Know how to create and maintain relationships of trust with customers. Must be able to initiate customer calls and develop professional contacts and relationships.
- Know how to manage priorities and manage time.
- Enjoy working in a team.

- Eager to learn new things and step out of the comfort zone.
Academic Background and Experience
- Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.
- Typically, 5+ years total work experience with manufacturing equipment ideally in the aluminum or primary metals industry.
- Proven Track Record(s) of;
o 2+ years as Field Engineer or equivalent.
o Working knowledge of:
Electrical control panels.
Pressurized gas control panels.
Electrical heater, burners, and standalone control systems.
automation software including, Ladder Logic, Factory Talk, Studio 5000, TIA Portal
Physical/Sensory Requirements

Working Environment
Generally, work within an office and/or manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, heat and/or cold conditions where company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including metatarsal safety boots fire resistant safety helmet. Additional Fire-resistant PPE will be required when working with molten metal.
This role involves travel to customer sites and Pyrotek manufacturing shop floor, where the employee could encounter fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, moving equipment, and other construction or manufacturing-related risks. Coordination with site managers and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment are essential. The noise level on the floor is often loud and ear protection is necessary.
