This role is critical in ensuring that our procurement and supply chain align with their strategic goals in their diagnostics division and support their mission of delivering high-quality biotechnology solutions.


Position Overview:

The Director of Procurement & Supply Chain will be responsible for leading and optimizing the procurement and supply chain functions within the organization. This role requires a strong background in life sciences, particularly in biotechnology and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex supply chains, developing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement and supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and supports research and development initiatives.

- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials and services. Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize costs and quality.

- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements while maintaining quality standards.

- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels for raw materials and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.

- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance, supplier performance, cost savings, and compliance metrics to senior management.


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong background in the life sciences industry; experience in diagnostics is advantageous.

- Proven track record of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost management in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.

- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the life sciences sector.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite..
