HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATEHomes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is seeking a Human Resources Associate to join its HR team at its Central Offices. A key part of the recruiting and hiring processes for the organization, the HR Associate maintains personnel files, updates HR documents, letters and templates, utilizes ADP Workforce Now for all hiring and recruiting purposes, and conducts various personnel-based analytics. The HR Associate also supports Office Managers and Hiring Managers across a broad range of departments at our Community Residential Resource Centers (CRRCs) in the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. Our goal is to have a positive impact so families can thrive long after they leave our shelters.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOnboard all new hires for Central OfficeHire all new staff into ADP Workforce Now, and provide timely updates to Hiring Managers, relevant supervisors, and PayrollConduct regular reporting through ADP Workforce Now such as New Hire Reporting to HRA, New Hire/Personnel Changes, PTO and other relevant reports requested by managementDraft offer letters and make formal job offers to candidates via telephone.Create and maintain personnel files for pre hire, new hire, and HR change purposes via ADP CloudRegularly update HR forms in accordance with organizational structure and/or policies.Provide weekly HR hire and position change reports to Management and to Payroll.Liaise with Payroll division on all personnel related matters.Build relationships with administrative staff at all locations.Assist other HR team staff as needed, or as directed by HR Manager.QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of a 4-year related degree or a 2-year degree with 2 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of ADP Workforce Now Applicant Tracking Systems, Payroll, Employee Portal and Analytics.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task.Strong attention to detail.Familiarity with human resources operations.Excellent written and verbal communication.Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word and ExcelExtremely proactiveOutstanding communication skills; sense of urgency, high-level of personal integrity.Commitment to HFH’s mission, vision, and values.Ability to provide exemplary customer service to prospective and current staff, and ability to remain calm under pressure.Bilingual is a plus.COMPENSATION/EEO:In order to attract and retain a high-performance workforce, Homes for the Homeless offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment, with a focus on ensuring an appropriate work-life balance.
