Acquisition Program Analyst (AQR/AFWERX) - Journeyman

Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Acquisition Program Analyst (AFWERX) - Journeyman
to support a key Air Force Program supporting the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQR).
SAF/AQR - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology and Engineering
Serves as the Air Force S&T Executive, Air Force Acquisition Chief Engineer and Technical Authority, the Air Force Corrosion Control and Prevention Executive, Air Force Standardization Executive, and functional manager for the S&E career field. Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures for Air Force S&T, laboratory management, technology transition (to include Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTD)), Technology Cooperation Program, technology transfer, development planning (DP), and experimentation. Establishes engineering policy, standards and specialty engineering guidance for Air Force systems, subsystems, and end-items. Leads the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) activities that include the identification and protection of critical program information (CPI) and functions, elimination or mitigation of cyber vulnerabilities, and program protection planning. Establishes policy and guidance for the development, implementation, and operation of the Air Force airworthiness assurance system. Develops the Department of Air Force S&T strategy in consultation with AF/ST and SAF/SQ; oversees USAF S&T program elements involved basic and applied research as well as assigned developmental program elements and ensures technology development supports warfighter needs. Advocates for S&T, DP, prototyping and experimentation, technology transition, technology transfer, digital engineering, and S&T intelligence; defends these areas in the corporate Air Force PPBE process; and serves as the primary interface with Congress, OSD, and other government agencies for these non-Special Access Program (SAP) investments.
This position assists the limited Government staff with AFWERX, Technical Transition, and internal processes and programs, included, but not limited to, data analytics, metrics, and visualization in support of program management.

Work Experience Substitutions:
6 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
Associate degree plus 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.

The tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide Investment and Strategic Partnership Oversight and provide support on strategic communication and pathfinder areas as well as support to overall AFWERX action items/taskers as directed.
- Provide guidance and oversight on the strategic objectives of this program on behalf of the Air Force Senior Acquisition Executive (SAE).
- Track, understand and assist with understanding of AF policy, directives & instructions and maintain a digital repository of key documents for reference in assisting staff.
- Advise and assist the AQR staff as they work to increase understanding of and support for AFRL within Senior leadership & Staffs.
- Support on strategic communications, congressional requests, and requests from senior leadership throughout the AF and DoD.
- Provide support and advocacy for policy and legislative change actions.
- Identify/analyze AFWERX internal/external communications requirements/ processes to solidify the information needs of SAF/AQ and its internal/external stakeholders.
- Maintain regular exchange/communications with AFRL, on strategic relationships, such as manufacturing.
- Support all AF-wide training regarding commercial technology ventures, venture financing, and venture procurement.
- Supporting HAF budget preparation and defense, SAE oversight and decision-making activities, PEO program execution and oversight efforts of aircraft and spacecraft platforms and may be required to work independently.
- Studying, analyzing, and providing recommendations on requirements, acquisition strategies, program documentation, program phase transition plans, supplemental information, and program execution.
Qualifications :
- Active TS/SCI
- Bachelor's Degree in S&T or Business-related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant DoD acquisition experience in a System Program Office and/or HAF required.
