Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the IT operations manager is to oversee the streamlined operation of the organization's technical infrastructure. They will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the Service Desk and Technical Services team. The IT Operations manager will coordinate closely with the Illumination Foundation Leadership team. They will work closely with stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions relevant to the organization's technical infrastructure.

The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information and communication technologies.
  • Manage IT department operational planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
  • Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to stakeholders, including the Illumination Foundation executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
  • Benchmark, analyze reports on, and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware based on department needs.
  • Direct and perform research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
  • Oversee provision of end-user technical assistance, including service desk and technical support services.
  • Generally available after-hours to address urgent escalations and support special projects as needed.

Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or at least 5 years of information technology experience in an IT infrastructure support role.
  • Experience with infrastructure assessment, design, implementation, and support.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g. HIPAA, HITECH) as they relate to Healthcare Information Technology.

Preferred:

  • Current A+ or Network+ Certification preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
