ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
Bachelor's degree and/or Business degree preferred.
Licenses
No professional licenses required
Certifications
CRCS/CRCR Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist or representative within a year.
Experience
3 years of Management experience REQUIRED, 3-5 yrs. of Revenue Cycle experience.
HIRING TIME: Open until filled.
Wage Range: The wage for this position starts at $29.00 and goes up based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
- Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
- Possess technical knowledge to manage the departments
- Develop, maintain & monitor all accounts receivable procedures per specific funding source
- Develop, maintain & monitor all billing functions to ensure LCDs, NCCI edits, payer specific requirements & billing edits are addressed.
- Analyze accounts receivable daily through queues and reports to ensure allocated and worked correctly, to insure issues are addressed promptly.
- Proactive research of all insurance changes and communicate with team.
- Understand the entire medical billing process, insurance rules, and regulations that can enforce/abide by policies and procedures.
- Manage performance and direction of team's daily work
- Direct supervision for billing, AR follow up, customer service, and prior auth to ensure that detail tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner and ensure accuracy and efficiency of claims
- Supervise denial management staff to ensure that payment received for all services is allocated properly.
- Lead team to evaluate compliance, identify key opportunities, develop specific objectives, work flows, strategies, and plans that optimize the patient financial services/billing functions for the department.
- Reporting and Performance Improvement
- Maintain reference materials on insurance plans & obtain concise understanding of these regulations & changes.
- Plan, prioritize, and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the assigned areas within the department while determining resources & tools that are necessary.
- Provide ongoing coaching and education for revenue cycle department.
- Build and document efficient workflows (Standard Operating Procedures SOPs)
- Escalate issues to the director, keeping the director aware of areas of concern or focus when key performance indicators (KPI) are not met.
- Prepare and deliver all reports as directed timely.
- Write, implement & ensure adherence to policy & procedures within the department while collaborating with the director in implementation of processes that will identify continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with multiple departments. Communicate effectively to aid in creating high quality results relating to revenue cycle management internally and externally.
- Support departmental leaders in the development, coordination and implementation of departmental policies and procedures for registration related to denials and changes.
- Work closely with Revenue Cycle Denial Analyst and report back to all registration departments' changes, education, errors, updates and workflow improvements.
- Research and problem solve errors and issues, work with all departments in supporting change.
