Construction Estimator


We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team, focusing on commercial and multi-family construction projects as well as renovations. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing and evaluating estimates at various design phases for our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and multi-family construction projects at various design phases.
  • Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough market research to obtain pricing information for materials and labor, ensuring competitive estimates.
  • Assist in the negotiation process with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor project budgets and track costs throughout the construction process to ensure compliance with estimates.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods to enhance estimating accuracy.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of estimates while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to support staff as needed.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial building and multi-family construction and renovation.
  • Familiarity with negotiated projects and the ability to review plans at all design stages, from concept to construction documents, is essential.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent military or hands-on experience is required.
  • At least three years of post-graduate experience working on construction projects.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload independently while also delegating tasks and supervising team members as necessary.
  • Knowledge of the Denver market is advantageous.
