Direct client of ours, a financial institution, is seeking a Sr Network Engineer to join their team on a Contract to hire basis. Seeking a seasoned senior network engineer who can manage the network infrastructure for their data centers, campus and remote branch multinational (global) network.

*This is a Network Engineer role with some security like firewalls and ISE, but they will focus on Core Networking, routing, switching protocols, etc.

Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite in NY or NJ office a month

Candidates must be located in; NY, NJ, PA, CT areas

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for designing and implementing network infrastructure including WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN, Proxy, Load Balancing, Firewall and Proxy components.
• Help to drive network improvements and standardization for the network environments
• Test, debug, conduct performance analysis, and document network infrastructure components
• Assist in providing production support for incidents / problems escalated from Network Operations team.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of network infrastructure required for new projects
• Capacity management of network infrastructure
• Network implementation, support and project work of multi-vendor global core network.
• Meet with stakeholders to identify key priorities and network needs
• Manage firewalls, build site-to-site VPN tunnels and implement strict security policies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, implementation and maintenance of mission critical enterprise networks.
• Experience with Cisco ACI and ISE
• Prior work experience in a fast-paced environment supporting real-time market data and trading.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of BGP, OSPF, PIM and IGMP including best practices.
• Significant implementation experience with Cisco routing and switching and Fortinet firewalls.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills on wide array of networking issues including LAN, WAN, and multicast.
• Experience with or exposure to F5 load balancing (LTM/GTM) and DNS-based solutions
• Experience working with or an understanding of Micro segmentation solutions
