About the role:
The Senior Accountant, Real Estate Family Office oversees all accounting, financial, and tax reporting functions for our affiliated ownership entities. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Family Office Director and work alongside tax professionals to ensure the seamless management of these entities' financial operations.
What you'll do:
- Prepare general ledgers and financial statements for approximately 8 ownership S Corporations and assist with the review and financial statement preparation of the syndicated real estate partnerships.
- Process all accounts payable transactions.
- Oversee cash management, including preparing wire transfers and coordinating funds movement with financial institutions.
- Interface with team members to gather information as needed.
- Record day to day financial transactions.
- Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations.
- Process the issuance of checks, online payments, and bank deposits.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to owners.
- Assist in presentation of annual reporting packages to owners.
- Maintain historical records & supporting documentation.
- Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Review business versus personal items of income/expense.
- Monitor and record payroll processing and expenses.
What you'll need:
- 5 or more years of experience in business management and/or family office environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Experience with financial reporting.
- Experience with multi-entities that are complex and high volume driven.
Wedgewood occupies 50,000 square feet in a state of the art headquarters in Redondo Beach, California and has been named Company of the Year by the city. Wedgewood has additional office locations in Las Vegas and Dallas, and along with smaller offices throughout the country.
The salary range for this position is $100,000- $125,000 annually. In addition, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
