Summary
Rennscot is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of driving financial success in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will also have a strong interest or passion in the industries our customers operate in. The Senior Accountant will be the first in-house financial role within the organization and will be expected to perform activities at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end financial close processes, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with external CPAs to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including working capital, budget variances, and cash flow forecasting.
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, offering recommendations for operational and financial efficiencies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the company, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Support HR administration by performing employee onboarding, maintaining employee records, facilitating payroll, and managing benefits enrollment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning software is a plus.

Salary
$80,000 - $125,000 per year
