Position Summary
The Project Engineer works closely with members of the Land Development Department to facilitate a wide variety of activities associated with the construction and development of residential single-family communities. This position provides both technical and administrative information to all parties involved with a project.
Duties & Responsibilities
Site Development
- Designs all aspects of civil engineering projects, mainly residential subdivisions.
- Utilizes AutoCAD and other engineering design software to create detailed engineering designs, including construction plans, reports, and specifications
- Calculates cost estimates to determine feasibility of potential new projects and prepares detailed cost estimates once engineering design is completed
- Prepares reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, plats, easements and permits for civil engineering projects
- Coordinates with government officials on planning, platting, and zoning of potential new civil engineering projects
- Coordinates with government officials to obtain required plan approvals and permits
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- 4 years related experience in the Civil Engineering field, residential site development preferred.
- Professional Engineer License for State of Oklahoma
- Well versed in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Frequently moving small objects
- Walking or standing occasionally
- This position works mostly indoors; going outdoors may be frequently required
- Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly
