Our client is a faith-based, nonprofit integrated health system headquartered in California. We serve more than 75 communities including small towns, suburbs and inner cities across the western states. Our workforce of 32,000 clinicians and volunteers provides compassionate care in over 20 hospitals and several hundred outpatient service centers.
They have engaged our firm to identify their next Regional Director of Finance to support the Northern Region Chief Financial Services Officer.

Regional Director, Finance will be a Financial Business Partner to the regional business leader's, foster a partnership built on exceptional service, deep business acumen and financial expertise, contribute to the sustained success of the business through identification of opportunities and risks, and drive initiatives to support the business in achieving their strategic objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Optimizes financial performance by identifying and prioritizing business challenges, risks and opportunities and developing approaches to address them. Enhances decision making by proactively providing meaningful, actionable insights, advice and recommendations to the functional and business leaders at the right time. Elevates the partnership with the businesses by driving and supporting business initiatives and increasing the depth and breadth (value) of the services provided.
- Increases the long-term success of the business by participating in strategy development and planning, facilitating the long-term financial planning process and developing the metrics to monitor the performance against strategic objectives. Improves the quality of reporting and analytics by improving the availability and accessibility of financial information and increasing the relevance and sophistication of insight and analysis. Continuously improves FPA's organizational efficiency and effectiveness by leading internal change and providing regular and actionable feedback from business partners.
- Supports an efficient and effective Planning and Forecasting process that produces accurate, achievable and aligned results by providing key input and challenge during the planning processes and collaborating with the System FPA leaders to align annual plans with strategic priorities and deliver analytics that indicates the impact of choices made. Optimizes and protects the system's assets by ensuring financial information is trustworthy and adequate controls are in place to maintain integrity around use of capital assets
- Upgrades talent by investing in additional training for business partners, development opportunities, and acting on feedback from FPA leadership and business leaders.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- MBA preferred
- 5+ Years' Experience preferred
