Reach for what you want and tell us why your work ethic and willingness to learn make you a natural fit for #TeamFirstInterstate.SUMMARYAssist Ag Loan Officers in gathering and evaluating credit information on current and prospective agriculture customers, preparing written reports of analysis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.Reviews pertinent credit and financial information, including financial statements, tax returns, credit bureau reports, bank reports, and other company reports.Inputs financial data on PC-based software to generate financial spreadsheet.Analyzes findings and prepares in written report.Reviews irregular financial information with loan officer.Assists in collateral review procedures.Compiles and distributes material for loan committee meetings.Evaluates credit quality, suggesting loans be upgraded or downgraded based on most recent information.Compiles various reports as requested.Reviews documentation of files on a regular basis.SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay accompany loan officers on customer calls and collateral inspections.Assists loan officers on special projects.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. B.A. degree in Business, Finance or related field from a four-year college or university; a minimum of two (two) years banking experience in similar position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIESComputer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and familiarity with Internet. Have some background in farm and ranch operation preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
