Job Requirements / Description

Job Description:

  • Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
  • Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.
  • Enforces inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Provides quality service by following organization standards.
  • Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.
  • Maintains tool inventory control and calibrations system.
  • Provide pre-processing and sorting of IT materials.
  • Shrink wrap, label, band, and store pallets on outbound shelving.
  • Load pallets on to outbound tractor trailers using sponsor-furnished forklifts.
  • Accompany material to secure destruction sites as needed.
  • May provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of directly related experience supporting warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping and receiving operations.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Must be knowledgeable with computers and have high attention to detail involving data entry.
  • Must possess a current forklift certification (preferred) or have ability to obtain one within 30 days of start of employment.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

The candidate may be required to wear steel toe footwear at times, and use sponsor-provided personal protective equipment (protective eyewear, face shields, gloves, aprons, respirators, and head protection) in conjunction with engineering controls and safety operation procedures.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: 10-25%
