The Director, Retail Sales - THD is accountable for developing and delivering new and fresh strategies that drive satisfaction and profitable growth for customer relationships assigned as strategically important. This position is responsible for developing strategies that combine customer-driven long-term thinking with near-term organizational goals. Success in this position requires a deep understanding that collaboration is key to growing any business, especially in a complex and competitive industry. This position leads a team of key account managers and sales analysts and reports directly to the Vice President of Retail Sales for the company's Aperture Solutions - US business unit.

Primary accountabilities for this position include:

  • Representing company products and services to the assigned customer while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the company.
  • Developing trusting relationships with customers to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  • Serving as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolving any issues and problems faced by customers and dealing with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Playing an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Preparing regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Leveraging and maintaining productive, professional relationships with key functions and employees in the assigned customer account.
  • Coordinating the involvement of company employees, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
  • Meeting assigned targets for strategic objectives in an assigned account.
  • Proactively leading a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leading solution development efforts that best address customer needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Coordinating all contract renewal activity for assigned accounts.
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in appropriate discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and/or marketing leadership experience; with at least 5 years working with high volume, strategic customers.
  • 20%+ travel.
