Assistant Director Housing and Portal Management in StarRez

Responsibilities:

1. Act as the resident technology expert managing the Core Housing Management System and the Portal Management system (applications, room selection, and web forms).
2. Test and audit the integrity of interfaces and upgrades.
3. Advise, educate and train staff and students in the use of the housing platform information tools including software applications.
4. Develop policies and procedures to ensure support requirements are met in a 24/7 operational environment.
5. Manage the BU Housing website, update and maintain online floor plan integrity.
6. Participate in long-range strategic planning for BU Housing.
7. Analyze current service needs and trends.
8. Make recommendations to the Director/Sr. Associate Director for new or improved service delivery strategies.

Required Skills:

1. B.A./B.S. required, Master's degree preferred.
2. 5-8 years of experience in housing platforms (StarRez, CBORD, CCURE, etc.), SQL, application development and website troubleshooting, WordPress, technical expertise in detailed web design, administration and maintenance of local area networks and/or PCs.
3. Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
4. Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
