Whether you will spend your day in an office cubicle, operating a crane or running the melt shop at one of our mills, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoPlan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference plans, locations of surfaces, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerancesProgramming mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, proving part programsAble to operate machinery (Manual Lathe, Milling Machine, Drill Press, Key Seater, surface grinder, CNC machines)Must understand materials, cutting tools, tool speed and material feed rates, coolant requirements and machining techniquesStrong mechanical aptitude and comfortable working in a multidiscipline environmentMachine parts from prints and can make parts from samplesParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureWhat You'll Need2 years experience as a CNC programmer programming with MastercamAbility to utilize precision measurement instrumentsExperience reading blueprints requiredYour EducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWe are Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune500 company with a family feel that's already part of your life.
