We are assisting our client with the search for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join a leading manufacturing company. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting department with daily operations, including financial reporting, general ledger management, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Process and review vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and ensure timely collections from customers.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including cost accounting and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow management.
  • Track and manage the company's fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset disposal.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
  • Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
