Job Summary

ETS-Lindgren, a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and experienced leader to serve as its Vice President of Human Resources (VP HR) at its Cedar Park, Texas global headquarters. Reporting directly to the ETS-Lindgren Group President and functionally to the ESCO Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the VP HR provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR function and operations. The VP HR is responsible for setting, evolving, and executing compliant human resources policies, programs, and practices to identify and implement long-range strategic talent management goals that enable business success and growth.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  1. Serve as a trusted leadership advisor to the Group President and Leadership Team peers
  2. Collaborate with the Group President and leadership team peers to monitor and evolve the organization’s long-term mission and goals
  3. Enable company mission through a robust talent management strategy aligned with the overall ESCO strategy and values
  4. Partner with senior leadership to understand and develop the organization's goals and strategy for staffing, talent acquisition, and retention
  5. Engage the workforce to steward and evolve ETS-Lindgren’s culture
  6. Drive robust talent review and succession planning efforts to accelerate the development of the internal talent pipeline while cultivating an external talent pool
  7. Manage and evolve mentoring, skills development, and other key HR programs to support people and company strategy
  8. Provide speedy resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues in partnership with corporate centers of excellence

Supervisory

  1. Provide exceptional leadership of the HR function selecting, motivating, coaching, and developing team members in their career growth and progression
  2. Directly manage 4 US-based and indirectly manage 3 Finland- and China-based HR professionals
  3. Oversee and adjust as necessary the daily workflow and priorities of the HR function
  4. Identify key performance indicators for the organization’s HR function; assess the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics

Technical

  1. Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs partnering with corporate centers of excellence
  2. Ensure compliance with employment-related laws, regulations, and requirements
  3. Maintain core knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
  4. Understand and leverage HR data and analytics to derive insights that inform the people strategy
  5. Serve as the organization’s Global Ethics Officer liaising with the Corporate Ombudsman, CHRO, and General Counsel
  6. Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events
  7. Perform other duties as assigned

  9. Broad knowledge of and experience with human resource information systems
  10. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education And Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  2. Experience working in and/or with manufacturing environments
  3. Experience with global organizations with multiple international locations
  4. At least 15 years of progressive human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred

  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  3. Travel expectations 10-15%
