SummaryTo provide direct advocacy services for a multi-disciplinary, hospital based sexual and domestic violence victim centric program, dedicated to enhancing prevention and intervention services to victims and families experiencing interpersonal violence (IPV), intimate partner violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThese duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.Under the direction of the HOPE Program, will provide hospital and community based services to adult patients within the Chesapeake Regional healthcare system and local community who have experienced IPV through assessment, crisis intervention, resource referral, case management as well mental health service referral.Will work with hospital and community providers to participate in connecting patients to appropriate services as determined through collaboration with patientWill assist in administering and tracking the use of a crisis funds serving patient and employee victims of IPV as warrantedWill facilitate communication and networking amongst community service providers to increase efficiency and effectiveness of direct services to victimsWill provide accompaniment for victims of IPV as requested within the hospital, criminal justice system, and other systems as neededWill provide on-going case management and follow up services post discharge for as long as needed/requested by the patientWill be responsible for adjusting hours as needed to address emergent situationsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience with the adult populations, IPV population, hospital, and community is preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :NOVA credentialed advocate preferred
