SRE with Java

Position Type: W2

Location: Remote

Note: Client is looking for a candidate with experience in Java and leadership experience with Terraform and Docker.

Responsibilities:

• Java experience is a requirement, with Scala and Node.js as nice-to-haves. Most of the more critical apps are Java, but we have Scala/Node.js apps we’d like to support if possible.
• Datadog experience, including DD/app integration, APM, dashboards, custom metrics, monitors, and logging.
• AWS experience with Aurora, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, SQS, and S3.
• Knowledge of deployment pipeline technologies such as Spinnaker and Kubernetes.
• An operational efficiency-focused mindset.
• Preventing on-call incidents and improving developer incident response.
• Identifying problem areas through independent review and team feedback.
• Improving the monitoring and alerting of web services and business workflows.
• Preventing bugs through automation, tooling, and SDLC improvements.
