OverviewCome join the ProConnect Tax Group as a Tax Analyst Programmer I in the San Diego office. Be part of the team that builds ProSeries and TurboTax Business content for business tax professionals.What you'll bringStrong understanding of federal and state taxation, preferably in multiple tax categories: business, non-profit, estates and trusts, etc.2-5 years income tax preparation or analysis experiencePrevious in-depth utilization of tax preparation software is highly preferredExcellent problem solving skillsModerate level of understanding of software best practices and coding techniquesPossess or able to quickly learn and apply tax content development tools (both print and electronic filing)Possess or able to quickly learn testing processes to validate work, whether automated or manualEffective interpersonal skills, which translates into the ability to partner for commitment and action, communication, as well as listeningCultural and organizational fit at Intuit and in Tax Content; emotional intelligence, business acumen, professional maturity, motivation for taking on this roleBS/BA in Business Accounting, or Computer Science or equivalent work experienceWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:CPA or EA certificationPrevious exposure and development coding software. Coding tax software specifically is a significant plusKnowledge or experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment a plusDeep understanding of tax software productsHow you will leadMaintains existing tax programs and related products ensuring offering is in compliance with taxing agencies regulations and guidelines within established deadlinesResearch, analyze and interpret federal and state tax legislation, code, regulations, forms and instructionsApplies standard practices and procedures to implement moderate tax product changes via code and internal softwareAble to learn and perform unit testing and quality assurance checks to insure that no unintended changes are introduced during the annual update cycleProactively seeks and obtains guidance from more experienced team members and uses these opportunities to develop their skills and knowledgeWork in a team environment using Agile/Scrum methodologiesComplete an expected level of work within the sprintIdentifies, proposes and implements process improvements in their team or work areaEOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.
