THE DEPARTMENT
At Anisa, Human Resources is responsible for the corporate company culture by managing our organization's development through the processes of recruitment, employee satisfaction and retention, role and responsibility training and development, performance management, and ongoing DE&I initiatives. THE ROLE
The Director, Human Resources will drive our HR strategy in alignment with our organizational goals. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspect of human resources management, employee development, performance management and compliance. Your strategic vision and strong leadership skills will be essential in fostering a positive workplace culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring that our HR practices support our commitment to excellence.
The ideal candidate will promote a culture of continuous learning and development, utilizing their expertise in HR strategy, operations, and people practices advancing the organization's goals, priorities, culture, mission, and values. Collaboration with the Director of Human Resources for Anisa Tianjin is crucial to ensure consistency and alignment across our global HR initiatives. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition on all talent management functions within the organization.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC HR LEADERSHIP: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives, contribute to HR strategy development, and regularly assess organizational design; lead and execute initiatives in employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
CULTURE BUILDING AND ENGAGEMENT: Responsible for actively fostering and supporting the culture of our organization by promoting core values, encouraging employee engagement, and creating a positive work environment. This includes implementing initiatives that enhance collaboration, diversity, and inclusion, as well as developing programs that recognize and celebrate employee contributions, ensuring that our culture remains vibrant and aligned with our organizational goals.
TALENT ACQUISITION AND RETENTION: In partnership with Director of Talent Acquisition, align and establish talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a high-performance culture. Support the hiring of international team members and interns.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: Assess training and development needs and design programs to improve employee skills and leadership capabilities, while promoting a culture of continuous learning and supporting career development planning.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Develop and oversee a performance management system that aligns employees to organizational goals and objectives, reinforces individual accountability and tracks and evaluates individual and organizational performance results.
GLOBAL COLLABORATION: Collaborate closely with our Plant HR Director in Tianjin, China to ensure visibility and consistency across initiatives, programs, and communication; enhance alignment between HR strategies and operational goals, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and promote a cohesive approach to employee engagement and culture development throughout the organization.
COMPLIANCE AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT: Ensure compliance with labor laws by staying updated on legislation, promote effective employee relations through the application of HR policies, and create, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to foster positive employee engagement.
HR METRICS AND REPORTING: Leverage HR metrics and analytics to enhance decision-making and improve processes, while preparing and presenting reports on HR KPIs, objectives and key results.
TEAM LEADERSHIP: Work closely with Director, Talent Acquisition to foster professional development and collaboration, ensuring effective communication and coordination to support organizational objectives.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Evaluate and improve compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards, while leading the total rewards strategy to align performance management with compensation for optimal business outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with last 2 at HR Director level or above.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business success.
  • Extensive experience in HR management, with a proven track record in leadership roles, ideally in international organizational settings.
  • Ability to think strategically and critically about HR functions and their impact on the organization; think and operate like an HR business leader and able to work with credibility and influence department leaders.
  • A hands-on, self-motivated and goal-oriented individual who is an agent for positive change and innovation, inspiring employees to the highest standards of performance through frequent communication, good management practices, performance measurement systems, and leadership.
  • Strong leadership abilities to mentor and guide at all levels of the organization, along with collaboration skills to work cross-functionally within the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in creating talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, as well as execution of initiatives and programs.
  • Experience in the development and execution of culture strategies and initiatives including programs and activities that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
  • Knowledge of US labor laws, visa requirements and regulations to ensure compliance in hiring practices for international employees, interns, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations effectively, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in using HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Experience in leading organizational change initiatives and fostering a culture of adaptability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance issues related to employment practices.
  • Comfortable navigating a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Box, Sales Force, NetSuite, and Monday (or similar platforms); ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms.
