Position Overview

The Director of Marketing will be a dynamic and results-driven leader, responsible for shaping and executing innovative, integrated marketing strategies that accelerate the company's growth and enhance its competitive edge. This hands-on role will drive collaboration across departments, optimize customer engagement, and strengthen brand positioning through data-informed decision-making. With a focus on scaling initiatives, the Director will ensure marketing efforts align with broader business objectives, directly contributing to increased market share, revenue growth, and customer retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and thrive in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple projects while consistently delivering measurable outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, this role will lead the marketing team in supporting key initiatives across the organization and will have exposure at the Board of Directors level.

The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically about our category-creating business and our customers' success, while working in partnership across all departments and all teams to ensure we deliver exceptional customer satisfaction to our blue-chip global customers. Laser-focus and hands-on execution are hallmarks of a successful PostProcess teammate.  We're an early-stage company so the need to establish processes while remaining nimble and moving at lightning speed will be an important objective.

Pay scale: $100-110K + Equity in the company. Depending on Experience. This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership - Develop and drive the overarching marketing strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, establishing a clear vision for growth and market expansion. Oversee the development of integrated marketing campaigns that include digital, traditional, and content marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels.
  • Demand Generation & Content Creation - Lead the development of high-impact content and messaging that drives demand and directly supports key business objectives, contributing to revenue growth. Oversee the creation of diverse marketing assets, including lead-nurturing campaigns, video content, events, white papers, and more, designed to empower both our direct sales team and Channel Partners. Ensure all content aligns with strategic goals and effectively engages target audiences across multiple channels.
  • Brand and Digital Strategy - Lead the evolution of the company's brand identity and online presence, ensuring that social media, website, and digital marketing efforts drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation. Oversee the optimization of the company's website, utilizing analytics to enhance user experience, improve conversions, and execute advanced SEO strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Lead the partnership with Product Management and other key departments to create and implement innovative content strategies for product launches, events, email campaigns, and social media initiatives. 
  • Thought Leadership & External Communications - Direct the company's external communications strategy, overseeing press releases, media relations, and other PR activities. Ensure the brand's thought leadership position is maintained through targeted content, case studies, and industry events, positioning the company as an industry leader.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives through KPIs and key metrics, providing actionable insights to enhance campaign effectiveness. Utilize tools such as web analytics, email performance reports, and social media metrics to continually refine marketing strategies and improve ROI.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Identify and implement innovative marketing technologies and approaches to stay ahead of industry trends. Provide recommendations for creative ways to engage new and existing customers, using a mix of digital platforms, storytelling and data-driven insights.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Strategic Leadership - Hands-on leader with a demonstrated track record in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for technology companies scaling from start-up to rapid growth, with a focus on measurable outcomes and business impact.
  • Digital & Content Marketing Expertise - Deep knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media strategies, with a demonstrated ability to create compelling, clear, and actionable content for a variety of audiences. 
  • Analytical & Data Driven - Expertise in leveraging marketing analytics to inform decision-making and optimize strategies for improved engagement and conversion. Strong proficiency in digital marketing technologies and data analysis tools to drive results.
  • Excellent Communication & Leadership - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership skills to inspire teams and drive successful marketing execution.
  • Cross-Functional Influence - Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and foster a collaborative environment across departments, ensuring alignment of marketing efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Adaptability & High Performance - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity. A continuous improvement mindset with the capacity to make quick decisions based on limited information is essential. Must have high energy, be self-motivated, and be able to work independently to achieve objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Education - BS/BA in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in integrated/digital marketing and communications with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and market penetration. 
  • 4+ years in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, content management systems, email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
  • Industry Knowledge - Prior experience in the technology sector or additive manufacturing is highly preferred.
