Account Executive (In-House Required) — Hauppauge, New York

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Professional (carrier, broker, or GA) to join our team as an Account Executive at Hauppauge, NY office (exact home office location is open for discussion).

Responsibilities

1. Focus will be on Employee Benefits Account Management
2. Assist Sales Exec with existing business and writing new business
3. Conduct enrollment meetings, employee education sessions, and client renewal presentations.
4. Produce client ready RFP’s
5. Resolve claim and billing issues
6. Assist with the submission of individual and group applications
7. Process enrollment, termination, and change requests with insurance carriers
8. General problem solving of broker issues as they arise.
9. Managing and Mentoring Account Managers as needed
10. Working in the office is required

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3+ years prior experience in the employee benefits or health insurance field
2. Proficient in all aspects of employee benefit compliance (ERISA, ACA, etc)
3. Very Familiar with the large group market (over 100 lives) and small group market (under 100 lives)
4. Excellent verbal/written and organizational skills
5. Works well in a face-paced, high-volume environment
6. Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to reprioritize with minimal supervision
7. Excellent problem-solving skills
8. Computer Proficiency, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
9. High degree of comfort with Excel including (formulas/pivot tables/macros/etc.)
10. Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent related experience
11. NY State Health, Life & Accident License preferred

Compensation

$150,000 – $175,000 / annually WITH Commission
