Summary: This is a County Executive Director position responsible for directing and managing program and administrative operations for one or more counties. Responsibilities include carrying out permanent and ad hoc farm bill programs and policies established by USDA, as well as crop insurance operations under policies established by the Risk Management Agency (RMA). The role may also involve performing farm loan program assignments based on authorities delegated, conducting office and field activities to accomplish program objectives, and managing the activities of subordinate staff.

- Must have more than 52 weeks of total experience acquired on 1 to 3 temporary promotions during the most recent 5-year period.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date, including the following specialized experience and/or education:
- For CO-07 level: Successful completion of one full year of graduate education from an accredited college or university; OR a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; OR one-year specialized experience equivalent to grade CO-5 or GS-5 level.
- For CO-09 level: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR one-year specialized experience equivalent to at least grade CO-7 or GS-7; OR a combination of education and experience.
- For CO-11 level: One-year specialized experience equivalent to at least grade CO-9 or GS-9.
- For CO-12 level: One-year specialized experience equivalent to at least grade CO-11 or GS-11.
Education: If qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college transcript that lists courses and grades. Transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.
Additional Information: Veterans preference does not apply. Relocation expenses are not authorized. This position may be eligible for telework and flexible work schedules upon supervisory approval.
