Role Description:

Arcadis is excited to again be growing their Environment team. We are looking for enthusiastic water professionals to join our team to work on a range of Environment related projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience. As part of our Environmental team, you'll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve:

  1. Protected species

  4. Air quality
  5. Noise

Role Accountabilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership to the Environment Restoration (ER) team in the Global Excellence Centres (GECs).
  2. Support multi-team project delivery from the GEC including ER, Sustainable Operations (SO), CAD, GIS, and Data Management.
  3. Foster innovation by contributing to knowledge-based programs to help improve project outcomes.
  4. Provide technical expertise to the project team and anticipate and solve key technical blockers for the smooth functioning of the project.
  5. Support the GEC Discipline Director to achieve Discipline targets, team growth, and objectives.
  6. Establish and consolidate relationships with senior staff in Business Area offices, taking ownership of the delivery and GECs technical capabilities.
  7. Support on bid proposals and new pursuits.
  8. Drive creativity and independent thinking within your team, including around new digital technologies.
  9. Mentor team leads and team champion(s) to ensure high-quality standards and continuous improvement in safe design practices.
  10. Take a technical leadership role within the team, providing direction and lead by example.
  11. Work to ensure that best practices of delivery are adopted, and it is shared with relevant teams.
  12. Promote both the regional and global culture of the business.
  13. Early assessment of project and team risks and arriving with appropriate Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA).

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Have a master's in environmental engineering, environmental science, civil engineering, or similar.
  2. Minimum 15 years of experience in Environmental Restoration or Contaminated Land Management, Environmental Engineering, and similar.
  3. PhD in Environment domain preferred.
  4. Experience with PFAS will also be great.
  5. Over 15 years in Environmental Remediation / Restoration or Contaminated Land Management.
  6. Experience with Remedial Action Plans, Feasibility Reports Studies, Remediation Investigations Reports, Site Characterization, Soil / GroundWater / Soil Vapor Monitoring Report, etc.
  7. Lead team and develop staff to meet changing technical and managerial needs of the business.
  8. Demonstrate continuous improvement through quality management.
  9. Maintain and extend a sound approach to the application of technology in ER business.
  10. Have the ability to use a sound evidence-based approach to problem-solving and be able to contribute to continuous improvement.
  11. Have recognized expertise in a professional discipline with a well-established industry network.
  12. Able to identify, review, and select techniques, procedures, and methods to undertake advisory tasks.
  13. Undertake the design and development of ER solutions and evaluate their effectiveness.
