Warehouse Material Handler

Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to support logistics operations at the Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) in Newport, RI. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing material, including loading and unloading vehicles, unpacking freight, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Load and unload vehicles
• Place received material in proper storage locations
• Move material using pallet jacks or carts
• Maintain warehouse and production floor cleanliness

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in warehousing activities
• Experience with standard office equipment
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted
• Must have Interim Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in reading/interpreting warehouse storage plans
• Recent experience at NATSC Newport as a Material Handling Laborer or equivalent

This position will pay $18.85 per hour and is eligible for external referral. EIO2024
