Sr. Director, Biomarker Laboratory

Purpose of Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lab Director to oversee our clinical biomarker exploratory lab in the SF Bay Area. The Lab Director will be responsible for leading the design of the lab together with the engineering team, and the lab teams in the development and execution of biomarker analysis and translational research using ELISA, Flow cytometry, NGS, IHC, and proteomics for clinical samples.
Major Responsibilities
- As R&D representative, work with the engineering team to build the lab.
- Oversee the daily operations of the clinical biomarker exploratory labs in NJ and Shanghai, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of results.
- Develop and implement biomarker strategies to support clinical studies in close collaboration with cross-functional R&D teams.
- Provide scientific and technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to lab team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Manage lab budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant scientific field with at least 10 years of relevant experience in a clinical biomarker lab setting.
- Strong expertise in biomarker assay development and validation using ELISA, Flow cytometry, NGS, IHC, and proteomics.
- Experience managing and leading lab teams in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, guidelines, and SOPs governing clinical biomarker assay development and analysis.

Salary Range: $199,800.00 - $269,800.00 annually

Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
