Individuals may need to utilize the IELTS for entry into study programs in institutions such as schools, colleges and universities, and if you are looking to work, migrate or register with professional bodies, you may also need to take the IELTS test.The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, home to the ESL Academy and IELTS Testing center in Denver, is seeking a part time IELTS USA Examiner, who will be responsible for assessing the IELTS Speaking test, the face-to-face interview portion of the exam, between the test taker and an examiner. The Examiner, when necessary, will also provide second marking, and will ensure adherence to the standards set by the IELTS Professional Support Network (PSN) and IELTS USA, and supporting other IELTS operations related to examining as needed.IELTS Examiners must maintain their certification within the speaking module throughout the contract period. If the successful candidate is not already certified as an IELTS examiner, they will need to meet the PSN Minimum Professional Requirements and obtain certification in the Speaking module.IELTS USA ExaminerWhat you will do:Conduct and evaluate International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Speaking tests, based in the fourr assessment criteria: fluency, coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, as well as pronunciation.When required, marking speaking exams for a second timeAdhere to the IELTS Professional Support Network and the IELTS USA policies and procedures.Participate in Examiner meetings and other relevant meetings and *trainings as required.Conditions of EmploymentThis position requires an onsite presence on campus on testing days.This position may require working weekends.As of 7/1/2023, The University of Colorado recommends employees be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19, but is not required.
