Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Corporate Attorney to assist on all corporate governance, M&A, financing and capitalization matters, and employment matters


Overview : Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking an In-House Corporate Attorney


Company: A Consumer-Packaged Goods Company


Experience: At least 5-8+ Years of Experience handling Employee Relations matters at an In-House Corporation.


Location: NYC Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office ideal).


Responsibilities Include:

  • Serving as a key business partner and advisor to the Enterprise functions, including People, M&A Group, Technology, Finance, Strategy and Investor Relations
  • Advising and counseling on key corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing transactions and other major corporate transactions and initiatives
  • Providing legal advice on corporate governance matters, including supporting the Company’s board of directors and its committees
  • Advising on employment-related and equity matters in close collaboration with the People team
  • Advising on enterprise-wide data privacy matters in close collaboration with the Technology team


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate and Admission to practice in any State.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant corporate and commercial experience, including in-house experience
  • Experience across a broad range of legal matters, including M&A and other major corporate transactions, corporate governance, employment matters and data privacy matters
  • Clear communicator, with excellent legal and non-legal communications skills
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods is a plus .
  • Sound judgment and the ability to provide appropriately risk-calibrated advice and guidance, and to deliver flexible and business-oriented solutions
  • Ability to spot and proactively address over-the-horizon issues and roadblocks that could impede or slow down attaining corporate objectives
  • Ability to inspire and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and accountability between the Enterprise legal team and its cross-functional partners
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.


Pay Rate: 90-100/hour
