Technology Digital Account Solutions (DAS) – Develop and support systems for opening and maintaining client accounts. The Technology DAS teams build technologies that power our business. We are seeking a talented Java software developer to develop, maintain, and support applications that are at the heart of what we do at our company. We are looking for someone with a mindset for innovation and modernization who will look forward to collaborating with our team and stakeholders to help us build applications that take our company to the next level.

You will work on an agile team made up of developers, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and a Product Owner.

What You'll Do…

  • Responsible for applying business and technical knowledge to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs.
  • Build basic business, technical and appropriate product knowledge.
  • Provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs.
  • Complete moderately complex program assignments.
  • Assist with defining and meeting business requirements.
  • Provide system support, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues including on-call responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain new web applications utilizing modern web technologies such as Spring, REST, React, JavaScript/jQuery, Unqork, Thymeleaf, JPA, Kubernetes, Junit, Selenium, and SoapUI.
  • Work with additional open systems tech such as Kafka, MongoDB, Oracle DB, Spring Boot, etc.
  • Translate business requirements into system design, work directly with business analysts on requirements, prepare detailed technical specifications, and provide hour or story point estimates.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of Java development experience.
  • Open systems development skills such as Java, JEE, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Rest, Json, Junit.
  • Knowledge of Mongo, Docker, React, Kubernetes, and Microservices is a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and/or Agile are a plus.
  • Provide system support, including on-call rotation, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
  • A continuous learner, forward-thinking, open to new processes and technologies.

What Could Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of React, Mongo, DB2, Linux scripting, Mainframe, Grafana, Azure, Agile, and the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Experience or training in the AGILE project management methodology is a plus.
  • Develop and build relationships and build the confidence of stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute moderately complex test plans to ensure quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical associates and leaders.
  • Complete moderately complex programming assignments.
  • Define root causes and correct complex problems with limited guidance.
  • Ability to build upon prior knowledge and experience.
  • A continuous learner, forward-thinking, open to new processes and technologies.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with a preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
