Our team is looking for an outstanding leader with a talent for analytics, a strategic approach, and an orientation for action to join the InsurTech team as Principal Data Science, Analytics. In this role, you will be driving our pursuit of product innovation, business monitoring, and strategic decisions in close partnership with team members across strategy, product, supply, technology, and data science.

What You Will Do

  1. Define a strategy for delivery of a highly leveraged set of BI products on the topics of InsurTech product performance, operational efficiency and risk management.
  2. Drive expansion of our data platform while adopting EG data strategy/best practices to accelerate data access and data coverage.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ behavior throughout their journeys enabling us to make better product decisions around Customer Lifetime Value and Repeat.
  4. Be a thought-leading partner for our Analytics team to deliver meaningful business insights, analytics consulting and education to our global InsurTech team and stakeholders.
  5. Define, implement and standardize metrics, reports and self-service dashboards to enable data driven decisions across the organization.
  6. Partner across a wide set of domains and functional teams to accelerate delivery of deep business insights and concrete recommendations based on data and analytics.
  7. Coaches other levels on the team and provides valuable support to peers as a member of analytics LT. Provides leadership to the wider team in enhancing our data strategy, up-leveling our tool kits and establishing best practices.
  8. Leads large, strategic, complex analytics projects - often crossing collective boundaries. Comfortable interfacing with stakeholders of all levels including Senior Directors/VPs and presenting to larger audiences (i.e. product/marketing orgs, all hands etc.).

Who You Are

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or similar and 10+ years of analytics experience.
  2. An indispensable and highly influential individual contributor who is expert in an analytical capability.
  3. Strong analytical, problem solving & general management skills.
  4. Deep understanding of BI, analytics, integration & data governance.
  5. Experience in building/evolving BI & data management solutions across multiple business areas.
  6. Practical knowledge of advanced analytic methods, principles of data science and Machine Learning.
  7. Strong track record of driving multiple initiatives, product roadmaps, and support strategy, engineering, and operations.
  8. Proven ability to influence and manage relationships across the organization even where no direct line of reporting exists.
  9. Excellent project and partner management skills, working with multiple teams across several countries and competing priorities.
  10. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to drive the business intelligence vision across the business.
  11. Willingness to challenge the status-quo and lead change efforts to drive operational excellence, creativity, and innovation.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $221,000.00 to $309,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $353,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
