General Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Statewide Portfolio Specialist supports business development and relationship management for our partner agencies across California. The Statewide Portfolio Specialist oversees the implementation of various initiatives in support of our statewide work. This includes consultation with internal stakeholders and external partners. Additionally, this position will design, develop, execute and manage initiatives and strategies developed with our statewide partners. In partnership with the Statewide Initiatives team, the Statewide Portfolio Specialist creates a vision and deliverables for initiatives and ensures deliverables are met within the timeline and schedule.

This position is a full time, hybrid position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Within a team environment, this position will perform the following responsibilities:

  1. Relationship Building and Business Development (55%)
  2. Project Administration (30%)
  3. Administrative (25%)

Job Specifications

Minimum Required

  • Education : High School Diploma Required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience : 7+ years of experience in project management.
  • Technical Requirements :
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Proficiency in web-based collaboration and/or meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Travel : This position requires 25% of travel. Travel will involve attending meetings, events, and conferences throughout the state. Some overnight travel may be required. Staff members driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or their own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver's License, and DMV clearance.
  • Work Schedule: This position is full time; will regularly work a non-traditional schedule (i.e., weeknights and weekends). Some travel required.
  • Work environment: Hybrid. Office work environment; ambient temperature, moderate noise level, indoors.
  • Background check required. As a grant-funded Agency supporting Children and Family Services, CCRC conducts background checks commensurate with the role to verify candidate qualifications (criminal history, employment history/experience, education, reference checks) and ensure grant compliance.

All minimum requirements above met, plus:

  • Experience : Early education, human services, or other social services experience preferred.
  • Technical Requirements : In addition to above:
    • Intermediate experience with different project management and collaboration software: Wrike, Smartsheet, Slack, etc.
