Background: The mission of CNSP is to Man, Train, and equip the Surface Force to provide Fleet Commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore. IT support provides day-to-day support as detailed in Section 5 of the is PWS to CNSP HQ and subordinate command staff members, through desktop support, peripheral support, Risk Management Framework support, and telecommunications support.


The candidate will provide IT support Services to include asset lifecycle support; Standard Operating Procedures development support, data call support; inventory support; subject matter expertise support, peripheral device support, account access tracking and support; Local Registration Authority/SIPR token support; Information Technology Purchase Request (ITPR) Support; Risk Management Framework Support; Command Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems support; command phone program support; and command cable TV and commercial Internet Support.


Job Responsibilities:

  • CNSP Asset Support: The contractor shall perform tracking and administration for all Force shore-based equipment for CNSP and claimants, to include, but not limited to Information Technology (IT)/Local Area Network (LAN) assets and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)- owned printers. The contractor shall ensure command assets meet all cyber security and classification requirements, including proper storage, handling, inventory, disposal, clearing, sanitizing, and destruction as described below:
    • The contractor shall complete any required documentation for asset storage and disposal, including, but not limited to, DD-1149, DD-1348, Letters of Transmittal, and Classified Material Conversion (CMC) forms. The contractor shall prepare devices, to include the removal of hard drives, storage devices, and/or other hardware computers, and the associated forms to perform disposal via the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO), base recycling, and National Security Agency (NSA) CMC requirements. Personnel assigned to this PWS section shall be able to lift materials up to 50 lbs., and perform squatting, kneeling, and extended standing.
    • The contractor shall develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for command asset (e.g. computers, monitors, printers, peripherals) functions and processes.
    • The contractor shall collect data resulting from data calls regarding CNSP assets for both afloat and ashore. The contractor shall provide technical assistance for afloat and ashore personnel in asset and peripheral inventory requirements and tracking. The contractor shall research costs and order policies and procedures for purchase and/or financial data calls to influence Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submittals or other costing requirements.
    • The contractor shall provide SME support for CNSP asset troubleshooting, trouble ticket submittal, and coordination. The contractor shall develop and submit Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests through the Navy Marine Corps Internet ordering website to ensure availability of command assets. The contractor shall coordinate with owning authority (i.e. Navy Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to ensure account access and asset availability. The contractor shall provide SME and technical assistance regarding fielded assets to CNSP claimants, trouble ticket submittal process, and desktop support. The contractor shall provide upgrade tracking and coordination of command assets. The contractor shall support drop and asset order requests for CNSP. The contractor shall support any Information Technology Purchase Request (ITPR) submittals to ensure command assets meet compliance requirements. The contractor shall coordinate with owning authority (i.e. NMCI, DLA) to obtain command assets, including LAN equipment, printers, and peripherals.
  • Inventory Support: The contractor shall develop and maintain inventory for command assets, peripherals, software, and other IT assets. The contractor shall conduct scheduled and unscheduled inventories of CNSP and claimant computer assets and peripherals to ensure thorough coverage of CNSP headquarters and subordinate commands.
