Summary or Description:

This opportunity is responsible for developing profitable new business to support the Baton Rouge Operation, will act as an ambassador for the Operation within the Worley organization and in the North American market to build brand awareness and business growth. Will assist in the development of strategies and support strategy implementation. Will support/develop proposals, value propositions, commercial approaches, and support other Account Leaders in pursuit of prospects targeted for Baton Rouge Operations. In this role, you will liaise with Operations leaders and cross-functional internal teams and inform the budget cycle and staffing plans.

Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Development to create differentiated solutions for our customers through the development of trusting relationships, cultivated and stewarded through this role. In this role, you will actively seek new sales opportunities and oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, developing new business from existing customers, and evaluating new customer opportunities. The Senior Manager of Business Development has responsibility for driving business growth for the Baton Rouge Operation through market intelligence, client insights, and strategy development.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth and development of customer accounts through insight - driving rigor and bringing a complete Worley solution.
  • Responsible for development and management of sales pursuits/relationships and development of accounts.
  • Responsible for identification and pursuit of new client relationships.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Partner with Operations Management and Regional Sector Leads to identify new developments and spearhead growth-related initiatives.
  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or identify areas of improvement to meet business objectives and targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts, internal operations, sales team, and cultivate new customers as appropriate.
  • Leads development of sales strategies and win plans to grow accounts and business within the Operation.
  • Lead pricing strategy development and pricing reviews, develops bid and proposal estimates and manages proposal budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts in collaboration with and support from operations, legal and risk.
  • Work with operations teams to assess resource availability, assemble project teams, and plan staffing.
  • Enable strong relationships within and across Worley to ensure we deliver all Worley capabilities to our customers.
  • Represent Worley at industry events, conferences, technical forums, regional and government bodies, etc.
  • Support other Worley Account Leaders with pursuits planned for Baton Rouge Operations.
  • Develop/Generate proposals, including Win Plans, Value Propositions, and commercial offerings.

What you will bring:

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' business development experience in Energy, Chemicals, and resources industries and credibility with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Track record of developing and implementing complex business strategy.
  • Experience of successfully partnering with and influencing executives, senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Network of high level relevant key client contacts and ability to enhance customer relationships.
  • Must possess a high level of commercial and business acumen, with an ability to articulate benefits in the solutions created at a variety of levels within the client organizations.
  • Experience in both sales and projects and/or operations essential.
  • Alignment with Worley's values, drivers, and commitment to customer service.
  • Strategic thinker who can develop and implement complex pursuit plans.
  • Proactively manage and collaborate across a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural organization.
  • Able and willing to travel throughout region.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Degree in Bachelor's.

Preferred:

  • Will consider candidates with Advisory, EPC or client-based experience.
