**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Interventional Radiology
**Job Duration:** 13-week assignment
**Shift:** 8-hour days, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in Interventional Radiology
**License:** Active and in hand - Compact license
**Certifications:** BLS, ARRT Certified Vascular Interventional Radiology Technician (VI)
**Must-Have:**
- Epic Systems experience
- Ability to keep up with the busy pace of the department
- 3-5 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Willingness to travel for the first time if required
**Job Description:**
- Provide technical expertise in interventional radiology procedures
- Rotate scrubbing in and circulate; assist in the take-down of the room
- Perform basic PACS duties such as revising orders, sending and QC of images
- Assist in notifying the management team or liaison of relevant issues
- Participate in complex vascular procedures in a shared cath lab space
- Handle cases like nephrology, urinary work, fistulograms, hemoembolizations, CT and US guided biopsies (bone marrow, thyroids, etc.), thrombectomies, some PEs, occasional DVT, and more
- Conduct procedures like US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, port exchanges, and PICC line placements
- Adhere to response time for call requirements of 30 minutes
- Work with equipment such as Phillips Alera, Medrad injector, and Xper hemodynamic system
- Work closely under supervision from the manager and lead tech for in-room needs
Additional notes:
- Dress code requires steel grey/pewter scrub colors
- One shift orientation on the unit is required to hit the ground running
- Unique pathology cases not commonly found elsewhere
