Position Summary

Taxwell is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst that will be responsible for collaborating with multiple business leaders and executives to understand and analyze key revenue drivers and to help advise on strategies to reach optimal revenue growth. The person in this role will serve as a trusted advisor to both the Director and the VP of Finance in key business decisions with financial impacts. Success in this role requires an ability to gather and analyze complex data, form conclusions, and present recommendations that directly influence strategic and tactical decision-making for all areas of the company. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models to support analysis and strategic initiatives while building effective relationships across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify key metrics and trends, providing actionable insights to the management team.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of in-depth financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis to assess financial performance and provide insights into potential areas of concern or success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing robust data management and quality control processes.
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to optimize financial operations and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant information into the financial analysis process.

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial and/or quantitative analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
