Summary:

As the HR Generalist at THE COLLECTION, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our HR functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives. This position requires a thorough understanding of Recruitment, HR principles, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of applicable experience, preferably in the automotive industry, with a proven track record of success in a generalist capacity with a focus in recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process for various positions across the company, including collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements, benchmarking compensation, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process. Will be responsible for the entire on-boarding process for all locations, including preparing and extending offer letters, initiating the pre-screening process, collaborating with new hire in preparation for first day activities. Will work closely with the marketing department to ensure timely capture of information for monthly newsletters.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, providing guidance and support on HR policies, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Foster a positive work environment that promotes open communication and mutual respect.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific requirements. Stay updated on changes to legislation and proactively address any compliance issues that may arise.
  • HR Administration: Manage HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, assisting in administering benefits programs, and coordinating training and development initiatives. Utilize HRIS and ATS systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate data.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement and nurture initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Support the organization of team-building activities, recognition programs, and surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, and employee well-being. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the automotive sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism while demonstrating a high level of integrity.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual, English/Spanish, fluency is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technology, computers, and navigate user interfaces is required.

Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, use hands to operate a keyboard and telephone, ability to stand/walk/bend as required.
