SUMMARY
The Cold End Supervisor is responsible to improve safety, yield, quality, and customer satisfaction through effective management of all packing related activities; ensures that standards are followed and identifies needs for higher level troubleshooting; Is the main communication link with Hot End Chief Operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Supervises the selector packers assigned to their work area; ensures that all members of their team are following standards and working efficiently.
- Conducts walk the floor routines
- Responsible for accurate counts
- Deploys specially trained personnel to troubleshoot when routine production is disrupted.
- Strictly adheres to the ’10 minute’ per line rule: If issue arises on the line, MUST contact others to address when the issue is not resolved within the 10 minute window.
- Utilizes 5Y problem solving to ensure that root causes are identified and rectified
- Communicate routinely throughout the shift with a Hot End Team member (Chief).
- Updates line boards and customer verification sheets
- Conducts handover communications (via walk the floor) with incoming Cold End Supervisor and Hot End Chief at end of shift.
- Participate in research and implementation of improvement methods
- Provides direct supervision to Cold End Selector Packers and Forklift Drivers.

- Must be bilingual

- Ability to detect safety hazards and follow safety rules and procedures daily.
- Strong computer skills including Google Suite.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
- Interpersonal skills with ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel required.
- Well-developed organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some secondary education preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Walking/standing
- Bending/twisting/climbing
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Rotating shift
- Overtime when necessary
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Registered EMT or First Aid and CPR Certified preferred.
